1. great fonts, especially handwriting (i love these pretty stuffs) and retro ones (this source is awesome).
2. colorful batik and tribal patterns. i never knew batik can be this colorful and candy-ish before :D (i heart her :'>)
3. soft-baked cookies. for those who never tasted it, it's kind of cookie, but not crunchy. it's like, so-so fudge brownie-ish, cake-ish, and cookies-ish, but it's just better.

6. Nestle® Bliss yoghurt drink, especially apple-kiwi flavor :3

Soooo, saya sebenernya sempet sedikit kehilangan mood mau cerita ada apa di ulang tahun saya. Haha, mau nyebut sweet seventeen kok rasanya aneh gitu ya. Makanya jadi lama banget mau ngepost. Anyway, tetep harus saya ceritain juga sih karena udah janji ke beberapa orang.

docmart, babe!

Oke, ada yang pernah denger nama ini sebelumnya? Dr. Martens, DocMart, DocMartens, Dr. Mart, whatever. Ayo ngomongin soal sejarah si sepatu berharga kisaran 1 - 5 jutaan ini dulu.

Dr Klaus Marten adalah seorang dokter tentara Jerman di era perang dunia II. Pada tahun 1945, ia mengalami cedera kaki. Ia kemudian memodifikasi sepatu boot-nya dengan lapisan kulit dan bantalan udara yg empuk. (just fyi, empuk sih empuk, tapi berat oi! Asli!) Setelah perang berakhir, dengan bekal pengalaman ini sang dokter mencoba menjual inovasinya. Ia mulai menjalankan sebuah perusahaan sepatu rumahan skala kecil di Jerman dengan bantuan seorang teman lamanya sewaktu kuliah.

DocMart Invasion: Dari London, menyeberang Eropa dan menduduki Dunia

Pada tahun 1960, sebuah perusahaan bernama Griggs Group membeli lisensi sepatu untuk dipasarkan di Inggris /UK. Perusahaan ini melakukan sedikit perbaikan dalam desainnya, membuat ciri khas berupa jahitan sol sepatu dengan benang warna kuning, dan melabeli sol dengan nama trade mark ‘Airwair’, lalu mulai memproduksi sepatu boot ini. Disinilah titik penting dalam sejarah sepatu sang dokter: Boot klasik Docmart-1490 untuk pertama kalinya menginjak pasar London.

Boot warna merah cherry yang desainnya nyaman dan praktis ini tenyata disukai oleh kalangan kelas pekerja (Boot pekerja men, udah baca kan? Boot pe-ker-ja! *sorry, this one is for you GAULers :p sori, kesel aja kalo banyak orang ikut-ikutan pake docmart dan berubah snob gara-gara itu. fashion nowadays berubah menjadi ajang show off kekayaan (ortu) masing-masing ckckck) Banyak sekali buruh pabrik, tukang pos, bahkan petugas polisi memakainya saat bertugas. Image sebagai sepatu milik common-people pun terbentuk secara alami.

Dan sepertinya, image itulah yg kemudian merebut perhatian anak muda dari kalangan sub-kultur punk. Pada akhir tahun 60-an, sepatu sang dokter ini banyak digunakan oleh komunitas skinhead Inggris dan genk-genk di jalanan.... Mereka punya kebiasan aneh, yaitu menyemir boot merah Docmart dengan semir warna hitam sampai warnanya jadi merah gelap dan mengkilap seperti kelereng/ gundu.

Lalu pada tahun 70-an sepatu ini makin populer karena banyak artis Punk Rock, Ska, Psychobillies, Goths, Industrialis, hardcore, straight-edge, Glam, bahkan New Wave yang memakainya. Dengan bantuan musisi-musisi itu, long-march yg dilakukan Docmart dari kota London menyebar ke seluruh dataran Inggris dan Eropa, lalu ke menginvasi dunia.

 Puncaknya di tahun 1900-an, sepatu Docmart berkembang menjadi trend yang menjangkiti semua orang, bukan hanya sub-kultur Punk saja. Ia menjadi industri besar. Alhasil, sebagian komunitas Skinhead sejati yang identik dengan spirit anti kemapanan dan anti kapitalisme mulai mempertanyakan brand sang dokter. Sebagian dari mereka mulai beralih ke merk pesaing Docmart, seperti Grinder, Ranger, Gripfast, dsb.

Tapi boot sang dokter terlanjur mencetak jejak solnya di wajah sejarah dunia. Docmart adalah sepatu yang menjadi legenda di dunia fashion anak muda. Ibaratnya ia seperti anthem yang pernah dinyanyikan oleh anak muda di seluruh dunia.. jauh sebelum era MTV, iTunes, Youtube dan Myspace.

Oke, Dr. Marten ini sekarang udah bejibun banget modelnya, ada sandal dan baju juga malah, tapi saya mau fokus sama bootnya aja. yang lagi hip banget itu desain floralnya *yeah, secara motif floral lagi ngetren banget.. helo? siapa yang dulu ngejekin itu motif emak emak? -___-* dari bahannya sendiri punya tekstur beda-beda. lumayan masuk akal sebenernya kalo ada yang cinta banget sama sepatu-sepatu ini sampe ngoleksi, tapi harganya itu lho.. duh. dan berat pula, waktu ditali pun butuh tenaga ekstra karena kulitnya dari kualitas bagus dan tebal. bukan jenis sepatu yang nyaman dilepas pake.

gue cuma punya satu sih, sebenernya gue pengen beli yang floral atau cotton candy. tapi biarpun lucu, itu terlalu.. common. temen gue yang punya dr. marten rata-rata punya yang tipe itu. sepatu ini dibeliin ortu *makasih ayah mama :) :* dan ternyata ini masuk yang limited edition. kenapa? solnya itu sodara-sodara. warnanya putih bersih. sol karetnya DocMart biasanya warna karet kuning sangat butek cenderung cokelat. punya saya itu setipe sama sepatu warna ungu di gambar kompilasi :3

sederhana, karena saya cinta sepatu. terutama sneakers, sepatu kanvas, Dr. Marten boots ini masih agak termasuk karena bertali. dan yang bikin saya lumayan amused sama sepatu ini adalah, dia bisa dibuat acara kasual dan formal. t-shirt, jeans and  hell yes, your boot will be stunning and stands out. put it with a dress, and you gotta be a huge attention stealer in a party.

someday i'll post some of my shoes and why i love them, i guess :p

1. kalo lagi nonton film suka terkagum-kagum sama tokoh antagonis yang keren, kayak Sue Sylvester di Glee, atau Profesor Snape di Harry Potter (i know, i know, dia nggak jahat, tapi.. well, ayolah, kinda?) dan yeeees i love pulling prank to my friends that i'm mad at him/ her or act like a meanie (and they say it looks like real lol) i ever played antagonist roles three times in drama club and once for school project. they turned out great actually :D soo, do i have that side on me? hope not .___.

2. nggak tahan sama teenagers yang pacarannya kelewat manis. menggunakan that big word FOREVER bahkan pake istilah 'bojo' 'papa-mama' sampe ngerencanain nama anak segala. i mean, seriously? dengernya aja berasa diabetes. no offense for anybody, tapi beneran itu tuh apa banget tau nggak. berlaku juga buat orang yang nyukain cowok/cewek dengan sangat keterlaluan dan frontal. fine if you wanna be open, but you have to at least think about how it actually looks like when you hysterically (and desperately) posting everything about him/her.

3. when it comes to fashion, you definitely can tell.. Ankle high sneakers and RIBBONS!


4. internet addict. dan sedang dalam upaya menyembuhkannya. serius. you can tell how crazy i am that i go online everyday in all social networks. bahkan merambah game (lagiii??) gosh, noniii internet itu berbahaya, bikin hal-hal yang lain nggak keurus, (takutnya) bikin minus nambah, bahkan membuat saya akhir-akhir ini agak tertular bieber fever sodara sodara! oh tidak x___x oke, tenang, sekarang sih biasa aja kok. cuma karena sering buka youtube, sering kan tuh videonya bieber nyasar-nyasar, soal dia sama selena gomez lah, soal dia jago main basket lah, soal dia ketemu sama fans terberatnya sampe kakeknya nangis lah (hell yes, i watched it -,-) hrr gawaaat! anyway, berkat youtube saya jadi lumayan tertarik menekuni cupcake thingy, easy to make, free to decorate, how awesome is that?

5. (used to) have that weird phobia of being hated, that's why sometimes i can be 'yes' person or too nice girl. now i know i just need to be myself and not everybody's gonna like me no matter how hard i try. there's always be hater, and as long as i know i'm not bitching anybody, i'm good to go. still have that insecurities though, but now it's not that bad actually.


6. pernah dapet hasil seimbang buat sanguin, koleris, pleghmatis dan melankolis. tes lagi jadinya sanguin-melan, tes terakhir sanguin-koleris. jadi?


7. pecinta angka 7! oh man, this number is just awesome! serius, seandainya aku main basket, pasti bakal milih nomer punggung ini. gimana nggak, nomer antrian atau undian atau kursi pesawat ada 7nya aja senengnya bukan main. number seven is just awesome. they use this number for everything isn't it? 7 wonders, 7 days in a week, 7 colours of rainbow, 7 rows around ka'bah and for sa'i too, 7 layers of sky, umm what else? i don't know, i just love this number. like, so much. plat mobil vw beetle ijo mudaku sayang B 77 NON :D nomer im3 ku +62857****7777 :))

8. suka iri sama orang-orang yang nggak terikut arus. mereka yang punya genre musik kesukaan sendiri, atau bahkan stuck sama lagu-lagu 80s-90s misalnya, dan tetap bangga. mereka yang punya selera buku dan film yang unik, juga sense of fashion yang nggak biasa tapi tetep keren. i'm envying them since i dont think i have that REAL uniqueness. i still listen to Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry.. tho i also like The Script, The Fray, Boys Like Girls, A Rocket to the Moon, Owl City.. they're still popular right? i mean, i love how those people have such an uncommon taste, and how they find out about those bands anyway?


9. have a motto: Don't learn everything from something, but learn something from everything. Untungnya motto ini pas sama sifatku yang bosenan dan mudah tertarik sama sesuatu yang baru (sejujurnya saya juga nggak tau ini berlaku buat cowok juga atau nggak, tapi hal ini berlaku juga buat celebrity crush hahaha) that's why i created a list of things i should be able to manage. at least a little. some of them is: je parle un peu francais (harusnya di c nya ada ekor kecil di bawah, tapi sudahlah) and sto parlando italiano un po. i do sketching-drawing - painting - scrapbooking - hand crafting - fashion designing and simply anything art thingies. i love writing anything, as you can tell. i can cook and bake (hehe :p) i can shoot, i mean, with a real gun, i used to play piano, learning guitar now, a lil bit of singing, (almost) got a certificate of diving, err, i do rollerblading and horsing too actually.

and yes, i'm proud of all of them hihi, hey, it's interesting! you should try some too :D life is too precious to be wasted.

10. Cinta Indonesia. amat sangat. sampe temen temen yang singaporean nganggep aku agak aneh karena saking sukanya ngebanggain baju, sepatu atau apapun barang yang aku beli di indonesia, juga budayanya. dan jujur aja, sampe sekarang tetep ngerasa singapore bukan bagian dari hidupku, disini aku cuma sekolah dan nyari temen baru, ngebiasain pake bahasa inggris juga berorganisasi. sudah, lulus. ntar juga pulang. AND I CANT WAIT TO BE GRADUATED AND GOING HOME!

Life is full of irony, isn't it?

When you do something good, almost no one remembers, but when you do a mistake, almost no one forgets.

When you shout, "Don't look!" Everybody looks, but when you say with excitement, "Hey, look! Look!" Just a few people turn around to where you pointed.
